It’s pup picture day at the park! Two children bring a pack of pooches to a dog-grooming shop to be washed and styled. Things get a little wacky when some cats wander in as the pups are being groomed, and the pups end up with some unusual looks! The zany illustrations by Tim Bowers capture the craziness, while the short rhyming story by Jan Holub is perfect for emerging readers. This is one story that will have children giggling with delight—and likely wanting to read the book again and again!

Tie-in Activity: Print out or cut out from magazines some pictures of dogs. Paste the pictures on a sheet of white paper, and then let your child add some wacky grooming touches to them, just like the stylists in the storybook.
